Big Ticket Announcement Today from Disney!
Walt Disney World will adjust the way tickets are purchased starting December 8th.
With this new system, guests who purchase 1-day tickets will choose a specific date and park for their visit at time of purchase thus adding a park reservation automatically, making single day ticket purchases a more seamless process.
Guests will no longer have to make a reservation for park entry at a later date which will help eliminate the guests forgetting to or not knowing they need to make a park reservation.
The new system will not affect those purchasing multiple-day tickets. Everything will remain the same, for now for 2 or more days. Park Reservations are still needed for all other ticket types and will be made AFTER purchase like normal.
Let’s take a closer look at the new pricing structure.

New Pricing
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom: $109-$159 (same range as today)
- Disney’s Hollywood Studios: $124-$179
- EPCOT: $114-$179
- Magic Kingdom Park: $124-$189
Previously, pricing varied by date, with higher prices during busier seasons, but prices remained the same across all parks. Now, tickets to Animal Kingdom will be cheaper than all the other parks, and Magic Kingdom ticket prices will be at or above the cost of all the other Walt Disney World Parks.
Park Hoppers
We don’t have a ton of details just yet on this subject by Disney has stated that they also plan on increasing the price for Park Hopper and Park Hopper Plus. This price increase is also slated to take effect on December 8th.
