2024 Vacations Open, a First of its Kind Hotel, and More in Disney News

There has been A LOT of Disney News in the past few weeks, and we are eager to share all of it with you!  The new release of the live action “Little Mermaid” film inspired new upcoming meet and greets inside the theme parks. One of the Disneyland Resort hotels is getting a BIG makeover this year. As of tomorrow, May 31, you can book your 2024 Walt Disney World vacation, and a 4 Day, 4 Park Magic ticket is now on sale for a big savings this summer.

In addition to ALL that exciting news, the Disney Culinary team has released their special eats and treats for Pride Month in June as well as some NEW summer bites and sips available at the parks and resorts.

Disney World Will Open for 2024 Bookings Tomorrow

Disney announced this month that pricing and booking for the full year of 2024 will open May 31, 2023.  Also announced, PARK RESERVATIONS WILL NOT BE REQUIRED STARTING JANUARY 9, 2024.  The other BIG news?  The Disney Dining Plan will return for guests booking packages for 2024 for stays starting January 9, 2024, and beyond.

4 Day, 4 Park Magic Tickets Now Available

It was announced last week that Disney World guests now have the option to purchase a special ticket for 4 days at the 4 theme parks at a significantly discounted price.  These tickets are for 1 park a day to each of the Disney World theme parks, for 4 days and are separate from a room/ticket package.

You can purchase these tickets at the cost of $99/day for a total of $396 plus tax.  They are purchased as one ticket for the 4 days.  They are valid for one theme park a day between June 1 and September 29, 2023.  Some blackout dates do apply.  Supplies are limited and they will sell out.  These tickets also expire 7 days after the first use or on September 29, whichever comes first.

Whether you have booked a room at a Disney Resort or are only buying tickets to the theme parks, this offer might be most beneficial to you. 

Disney News: Little Mermaid Live and In Person

The summer, guests will now be able to show some love to Ariel in person at both Disney World and Disneyland theme parks. 

First, guests at Hollywood Studios at Disney World Resort can join the queue at “Walt Disney Presents” in Animation Courtyard.  Here, fans can view concept art of the new live action film before entering a recreated back drop of Prince Eric’s Castle to take photos and spend a few moments with Ariel straight from the movie.

Then, Ariel will make her way to Disneyland’s Fantasyland area to greet west coast fans in a newly designed space inspired by Prince Eric’s castle library.  These meet and greets are perfect for Little Mermaid fans of all ages.

The Little Mermaid Has Got a Bit Sweeter

In addition to meeting Ariel, the Disney Culinary Team has created Little Mermaid inspired eats and treats available throughout both properties this summer.  “Bubbles at Sea” is a sweet green tea bubble tea that includes lemon juice, pineapple, and guava with an extra splash of shimmer at available at multiple locations.

Also, at Amorette’s Patisserie in Disney Springs, you can pick up the “Little Mermaid Pop” which is a cake pop flavored with caramel sea salt and ocean fondant décor.  On the west coast, guests of Downtown Disney’s Black Tap Craft Burgers & Shakes can try the “Mermaid Classic Shake” which is a strawberry and blueberry shake topped with mermaid sprinkles.

These treats are available for a limited time and only while supplies last. 

A Disneyland Hotel Gets a Pixar Makeover

Disneyland’s Paradise Pier Hotel has been undergoing a transformation that will make it a first in the United States.  A fully Pixar themed resort will emerge after the renovation is completed.  Guests booked and staying at the resort will continue to enjoy the amenities while construction is underway.

The new theme will be complete with beloved Pixar characters throughout the hotel including the lobby, rooms, and general areas.  The makeover includes a new Nemo and Friends outdoor water play area and also a reimagined pool deck. The new Pixar Place Hotel will also have character themed firepits and a brand-new restaurant.

“Great Maple”, the new restaurant, will serve southern California and American comfort dishes.  It will be open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  In addition, the restaurant will have a full-service bar. Poolside? No worries, you can get a bite from Great Maple as well! Breezing through on your way to the parks? There will be a grab and go space near the lobby and opening later will be a lounge. 

Disney Celebrates Pride Month

June is Pride Month celebrating the LGBTQ+ community and supporters.  This month, at both Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort, Pride inspired eats and treats will be available for purchase.  For a full list of what to expect, click HERE.

Also, in Disney news for Pride Month, the Disneyland theme park is hosting a special ticketed event: “Disneyland After Dark: Pride Night” which is currently sold out.  For those with a ticket, the culinary team will have even more exclusive treats available including a Pride Mirror Mickey sipper.  You can also reserve the Café Orleans Dining Package for the chance to try unique Monte Cristo sandwiches and specialty floats. 

Summer Specialty Eats in Disney News

Wow!
