Inside Look: All the Eats and Treats at Disneyland Resort for Disney100

This year the Walt Disney Company is celebrating their 100th anniversary and all the festivities are at Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California.  Beginning January 27, 2023, in honor of this momentous occasion, new specialty food and drinks will be available at Disneyland Park, Disney’s California Adventure, Downtown Disney and the resorts.  Let’s take an inside look at the delicious bites and sips they offer for Disney100.  

Lemon Tea Cake

At Alien Pizza Planet in Disneyland Park, guests can enjoy a Lemon Tea Cake.  This sweet dessert has all the pucker with lemon curd, zest, glaze, a fresh slice of lemon adorned with a chocolate medallion in honor of the D100 anniversary.

For The Love of Chocolate

For chocolate lovers, Blue Bayou Restaurant (Disneyland Park) has the Celebration Cake.  It’s a pecan brownie with chocolate truffle mousse, red berries, and a milk chocolate glaze. 

Inside Disney’s California Adventure Park, Magic Key holders can try this treat exclusively at Magic Key Terrace for Disney100.

Minnie Apple and Cake Pop for Disney100

Around the parks at the candy shops and some quick service locations, guests can try a Minnie apple incased in chocolate with a platinum sugar coating or a BRAND-NEW Minnie cake pop.

The Platinum Trifle

This decadent dessert is available at Galactic Grill (Disneyland Park) and quite a few other locations.  This treat consists of chocolate cookie crumble layered with cheesecake, cherry compote, chocolate cookie mousse, and crème fraiche Chantilly.  It’s adorned with crunchy pearls and the chocolate 100th medallion.

The trifle is also available at

  • Fiddler, Fifer and Practical Café (Disney’s California Adventure Park)
  • Pacific Wharf Café (Disney’s California Adventure Park)

Burgers and Other Savory Dishes

Let’s talk about savory options in honor of the 100th anniversary.  At Hungry Bear Restaurant (Disneyland Park), you can fill your hunger with a Potato and Chaddar Cheeseburger.  This 1/3 lb. angus chuck patty includes green chile and bacon cheddar sauce with spicy crispy potato planks on brioche. 

At Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta in Disney’s California Adventure Park, you can also experience the “French Onion Dip Pizza”.  This pizza includes both mozzarella and gruyere cheese, caramelized onion, and sliced roast beef.

The resorts are getting in on the action as well.  Try Walt’s Chili Bowl at The Grand Californian Hotel.  In addition, this resort will have a Disney100 rice Krispie treat decorated with Mickey Mouse and friends surrounded by course purple sugar.

Lemon Chiffon Pie

You can indulge in a lemon chiffon pie made with a graham cracker crust at Hungry Bear Restaurant (Disneyland Park).  This decadent dessert is topped with vanilla Chantilly cream.  It’s new just for the 100th celebration!

Banks Shortbread Tart

This tart has caramel and chocolate ganache, purple-colored white chocolate mousse, sea salt, edible stars, and sliver crunch pearls is available at Jolly Holiday Bakery Café (Disneyland Park).

The Violet Pretzel

The Refreshment Corner (Disneyland Park) has a Violet pretzel.  What’s a Violet pretzel?  It’s a cream cheese filled soft pretzel drizzled with salted vanilla cream and lavender sugar- sweet and salty goodness!

Special 100th Churros

At Town Square Churro and Tomorrowland Churro (Disneyland Park), the Disney100 churro will be available.  This revised staple treat is rolled in cherry sugar, drizzled with icing, and topped with purple and silver pearls.

Souvenir Tumblers and Sippers for Disney100

Available at MANY food service locations throughout the Disneyland Resort property you will be able to take your food and drink with you in a special souvenir that is decked out for the occasion.  These multi-tasking souvenirs including a Thermo Tumbler and a Travel Tumbler with Lanyard, as well as a Mickey Mouse Sipper.

Do you collect mugs from your vacations like me?  For this trip, a new platinum poison apple mug will be available for you at the Casey Junior Churro Cart (Disneyland Park).  You can also pick one up at Mortimer’s Market in Disney’s California Adventure Park

Disney popcorn buckets are a BIG thing!  The Disney100 Magic Key Refillable Popcorn Bucket will be available for Magic Key holders at Popcorn carts near Sleeping Beauty Castle, “it’s a small world” attraction, and at most carts throughout the lands.

Disney100 Star Glow Cube

Coming soon to a few food service locations: the Disney100 star glow cube for specialty drinks with a side of sparkle.

Also available soon for the 100th anniversary celebration will be Disney100 Mickey Mouse Straw clips and a Cinderella popcorn bucket.  No release dates are available now but stay tuned.

Ice Cream dressed for the 100th Anniversary

Starting January 27, try a Snickers Sundae with butter-pecan ice cream topped with chocolate shell, caramel sauce, whipped cream, chopped peanuts and Snickers bar pieces in a waffle cone at Clarabelle’s Hand Scooped Ice Cream (Disney’s California Adventure Park).  WOW!

At Shoomzies inside Disney’s California Adventure Park, cool off with a Steamboat Willie Shake made with cookies and cream ice cream.  This frozen treat is topped with chocolate cream filled cookies and whipped cream in the shape of the famous mouse we love.

Specialty Disney100 Libations  

If you are looking for some cool cocktails to celebrate the anniversary, look no further than Hollywood Lounge (Disney’s California Adventure Park). Guests 21 and over can taste the Platinum Blue with rum, blue curacao, Dole pineapple and sour mix. 

Also available in Disney’s California Adventure Park: Celebration Cocktail made with Empress Gin, pea flower, honey, lavender, and lemon juice adorned with an edible flower. You can purchase this drink at Lamplight Lounge. In the future you could be sipping on a Prickly Paloma made with Tequila, prickly pear and grapefruit ginger beer soon to be debuting at Sonoma Terrace.

Other specialty cocktails on property include:

  • Lavender Honor: Gin, plum liqueur, yuzu, and cava (Catal Restaurant and Uva Bar Café, Downtown Disney)
  • Enchanted Centuria Martini: Blanco tequila, chilled espresso, Irish cream, and vanilla syrup with and edible flower (Naples Ristorante e Bar, Downtown Disney)
  • Burgundy Celebration: Tequila blanco, organic margarita mix, and cabernet wine (Tortilla Jo’s, Downtown Disney)
  • The Last Pedal: Tequila blanco, rose syrup, fresh lime, sparkling water, smoke top, topped with an edible flower.

Would you like some champagne to toast the 100th Anniversary?  Head to Blue Bayou Restaurant in Disneyland Park.  This special sparkling wine will be available after the celebration starts, but no official release date.  There is a limit of 2 per person.

New specialty beverages in Honor of the Celebration

The Refreshment Corner in Disneyland Park has the “Sparkling Grape”- Sprite with grape syrup topped with a candy strip.

You can also try an Old-fashioned cream soda with Sprite, cherry and blue cotton candy syrup, whipped cream, and purple pixie dust at Galactic Grill (Disneyland Park).  It includes that special anniversary glow cube star.
