I’m not crying….You’re Crying….
Ok, ok, I have to be honest, I’m not crying over this one! A happy so long and a joyful farewell, but definitely no tears.
Park Pass Reservations served their purpose well during Covid times but once the parks reopened and restrictions lifted, park reservations were cumbersome and caused A LOT of strife for some!
For those unfamiliar with what a Park Pass is, it is a special reservation above and beyond the guests park ticket. Park Passes were introduced early in 2020 as a means for the parks to operate under reduced capacity and allowed Disney to control attendance during covid. Guests without park pass reservations are not permitted into the parks until one has been secured. Passes are limited so once they are gone, they are gone, thus leaving some guests being blocked from entering their desired park.
Now that the world is open and social distancing is a thing of the past, so are Park Passes… well…..almost!
The Walt Disney World Resort has announced the requirement for park pass reservations will NO LONGER be needed for guests using date-based tickets, starting with visits of January 9th, 2024 and after!
There are exclusions that include Annual Passholders, and non-dated ticket which are mostly used by student groups like bands and cheer squads as well as convention guests. All normal park goers will be unaffected by the block outs.
