Walt Disney World 2024 Crowd Calendars

There are so many factors at play when beginning the planning process for a Disney vacation. The first (and most important) step though is picking the perfect time to travel! Walt Disney World Resort throughout the year can be blissful or horrifying so it’s important to choose wisely. Crowd levels can vary greatly based on many factors such as school vacations, holidays, and special events. It’s essential to note that these are general trends, and specific days can vary. Weekdays are generally less crowded than weekends, and planning around major holidays can help you avoid peak times. To see specific dates, scroll to your corresponding calendar below.

January and February

  • Historically lower crowd levels.
  • The Marathon will increase crowd levels in early January and mid-February 2024.
  • You may run into a wide range of weather conditions. Very cold temperatures and rain are typical.

March and April

  • Spring Break will bring increased crowds.
  • The Marathon will increase crowd levels in mid-April.
  • Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival will draw additional crowds.

May

  • May is mostly a quiet month with the exception of Memorial Day Weekend.
  • Low to Moderate crowd levels.
  • Weather is mild but temp can be hot.

June to August

  • School’s out for summer, which means moderate to high crowds.
  • Hot and humid weather with surface of the sun temps.
  • August crowds drop off as schools begin to go back in session.

September

  • Schools are back in session which brings very low crowd levels generally.
  • High crowds early in the month from the holiday.
  • Potential for hurricanes and surface of the sun temps.

October

  • Moderate crowd levels all month.
  • Epcot International Food & Wine Festival and Mickey’s Not So Scary parties can attract visitors.
  • Temps can still be a bit hot but humidity starts to dissipate.

November

  • Moderate crowds early in the month.
  • Higher crowds for Thanksgiving.

December

  • Very high crowds during Christmas and New Year’s weeks.
  • Epcot International Festival of the Holidays will draw visitors.
