Universal Studios Hollywood is home to Super Nintendo World, which opened on February 17, 2023. It was met with a massive crowd waiting to “warp” in, and it has been packed ever since. But what can you do once you get there? Let’s talk about it.

Let’s Talk About SUPER NINTENDO WORLD!

To enter Super Nintendo World you are going to need a Virtual Line Reservation, which you can get in the Universal Studios Park app. According to Universal, “Guests with Universal Express and VIP privileges will have reservation free entry into SUPER NINTENDO WORLD™ once per day (after 3pm for Platinum Pass members) when reservations are required to enter the land.”

What can you DO at Super Nintendo World?

Slap on your Power-Up band and head over to ride “Mario Kart- Bowser’s Challenge.” Then, grab a bite to eat at Toadstool Cafe, shop for the perfect souvenir at the 1-UP Factory, and even get a chance to meet your favorite characters. “Meet and Greet” Mario & Luigi, and Princess Peach in two gazebos which are located in the center of Super Nintendo World.

Use your Power Up to get even more fun out of your day!

The Power Up Band allows you to play interactive games throughout Super Nintendo World. “Bowser Jr. has stolen the Golden Mushroom! Using your Power-Up Band, you can retrieve the Golden Mushroom for Princess Peach by playing interactive games throughout the land and collecting digital keys in order to unlock a final Shadow Showdown with Bowser Jr”, explains Universal. You can purchase these bands in multiple locations such as Feature Presentation Store, Universal Studios Store, Character Shop, 1 UP Factory, and SUPER NINTENDO WORLD STORE on City Walk,” explains Universal.

Universal goes on to say, “Once buckled up on Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge, tap your Power-Up Band on the steering wheel to keep track of your score as you ride – and play – the attraction. Collect digital keys with your Power-Up Band by winning Key Challenges found throughout the land: Goomba Crazy Crank, Koopa Troopa POWer Punch, Piranha Plant Nap Mishap, Thwomp Panel Panic. Collect at least three of the four keys to unlock the final challenge and enter Bowser Jr.’s hideout to play the Bowser Jr. Shadow Showdown. Punch Blocks throughout the land using your Power-Up Band to collect digital coins and stamps. When you meet Mario, Luigi, or Princess Peach in SUPER NINTENDO WORLD™ while wearing your Power-Up Band you may receive an enhanced experience. Track your score by visiting a checkpoint in the land or in the Universal Studios Hollywood app. Using the app, keep track of your family’s, friends’ and team’s scores throughout the day.”

What is the concept for Mario Kart- Bowser’s Challenge? You join Mario and friends to Battle Bowser on iconic Mario Kart courses. Like the game you collect coins, throw shells, and try your best to win the golden cup.

Hungry? Toadstool Cafe can fix that!

After you work up an appetite racing, head over to Toadstool Cafe to enjoy treats such as Super Star Lemon Squash, ? Block Tiramisu, or Tomato Soup in a Super Mushroom Bowl. Each dish is perfectly themed and decorated. You will need to make a reservation within the app to snag this dining location.
