Several months ago Universal fans saw the beloved Shrek 4-D attraction and Monsters Cafe close to make way for something new. That something new was kept under wraps until most recently!
Capitalizing on location within the park, Universal is retheming this entire area into Minion Land!

Joining the already existing Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem will be a villain inspired attraction where guests will encounter Belle Bottom, Jean Clawed and the rest of the Vicious 6. Per Universal, park goers will be able to blast their way to supervillain stardom.

Joining the Minion mischief will also be restaurants named Minion Cafe and Bake My Day along with a shopping space that will allow guests to revel in the greatness and cuteness of all the Minions.

The Minion shenanigans does not stop there! Everyone’s favorite yellow guys will have a glorious meet and greet at the soon to be Illuminations Theater.
The Minions will be joined by other character friends from such popular movies as Sing and all Despecible Me movies.

Illumination Avenue is slated to open later this summer, 2023! No specific dates just yet BUT keep checking back or subscribe for all up to the minute theme park news!
