When you hear the name EPCOT your mind might head straight to The World Showcase and drinking around the world… As fun as that is, EPCOT is much, MUCH more!
Immersive experiences such as The Festival of the Arts, Food and Wine Festival, Flower and Garden Festival or one of the many Concert offerings, are just a few examples of “something for everyone.”
Facts are, there truly is something for everyone, and there is about to be even more with the return of a few Enchanting Extras, that are major fan favorites.
What Are Enchanting Extras?
Enchanting extras are special “extra” experiences that go above and beyond your normal park day. Each experience is at an additional charge and requires valid theme park admission as well as a park reservation. These extras are much loved and highly sought after!
It’s no secret the past 2 years have not been easy and have seen many extra experiences discontinued or paused due to the ongoing pandemic. That is all coming to an end! I’m excited to announce that two crowd favorites will be returning just in time for EPCOT’S 40th anniversary on October 1st, 2022.
What’s Returning?
As I mentioned, not one BUT two special experiences will be coming back for all to enjoy! Let’s get down to business and see what all of the excitement is about, shall we?
Experience the Seas
The EPCOT Seas Adventure – Dive Quest
This experience will give you the opportunity to plunge into a 5.7-million-gallon saltwater tank, filled with all of your favorite saltwater fish friends. Dive Quest lasts approximately 2 hours and not only includes actual dive time but also gives you a backstage tour taking you into the inner workings of that ginormous saltwater tank! This experience is only available for SCUBA-certified guests and has a price tag of $219, per person, plus tax. All guests must also be 10 years of age and older.
Not SCUBA-certified? Don’t worry…EPCOT has you covered!
Dolphins in Depth
This is a great option for non-SCUBA certified guests! With Dolphins in Depth, guests will have the chance to meet bottlenose dolphins up close and personal as well as learn about their undersea adventures and behaviors. Guests of this experience will also get a backstage peek of the inner workings of the Seas. Dolphins in Depth is 2 hours long and comes with a price tag of $199 per person, plus tax and must be at least 44” (112 cm) tall to participate.
As mentioned, both of the above experiences are located in the Seas Pavillion at EPCOT. Those familiar with the park, might know this area as the home to Nemo & Friends and Turtle Talk with Crush. The Seas houses more than 2,000 sea creatures that proudly represent over 90 aquatic species. Impressive to say the least!
Experience the Land
Behind the Seeds Tour
Are you a Living with the Land fan? How about a gardening aficionado? Maybe you’re an environmental guru? No matter the title, this one’s for you!
Behind the Seeds is a one-hour walking tour of the four greenhouses and fish farms that encompass all that is the Land Pavillion. Price for this tour is $35 per person, plus tax and is open to all guests, as there is no age nor height requirement.
The How and When?
All of the awesome experiences we explored above are set to return October 2nd, 2022! Reservations opened for booking on August 22nd, 2022, so hop to it, if interested!
