Updated for 2026
Universal CityWalk Orlando is often called the entertainment capital of Universal Orlando Resort—and for good reason. While many guests simply walk through CityWalk on their way to Universal Studios Florida or Universal Islands of Adventure, this vibrant district deserves time all on its own.
Whether you’re looking for incredible restaurants, unique shopping, family-friendly entertainment, or exciting nightlife, Universal CityWalk offers something for every traveler. Even better, you don’t need a theme park ticket to enjoy most of what CityWalk has to offer.

What is Universal CityWalk?
Think of Universal CityWalk as the heart of Universal Orlando Resort. Located between Universal Studios Florida, Universal Islands of Adventure, and the resort hotels, CityWalk serves as Universal’s entertainment district.
Unlike the theme parks, CityWalk combines award-winning restaurants, unique shops, live entertainment, nightlife, and family attractions into one walkable destination.
Whether you’re grabbing dinner after a day in the parks or planning an evening out, CityWalk is designed to keep the fun going long after the rides have closed.
Can You Visit Universal CityWalk Without a Theme Park Ticket?
Yes!
One of the best things about Universal CityWalk is that admission is free. While parking fees may apply during parts of the day (always check Universal Orlando’s current parking policies before your visit), you don’t need a park ticket to enjoy the restaurants, entertainment, shopping, or nightlife.
That makes CityWalk a great option for arrival day, departure day, or a relaxing evening away from the parks.

Where to Eat at Universal CityWalk
One of CityWalk’s biggest draws is its incredible variety of dining options. Whether you’re looking for a quick bite or a memorable sit-down meal, you’ll find something for every appetite.

My Favorite Table-Service Restaurants
The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen
If you’ve never eaten inside Toothsome, put it at the top of your list.
This steampunk-inspired restaurant serves everything from burgers and seafood to chocolate-inspired creations. The handcrafted milkshakes are legendary and almost deserve a visit all on their own.
Bigfire
This restaurant celebrates open-flame cooking with expertly prepared steaks, seafood, and comfort food favorites. It’s one of the best choices for a relaxing dinner after a day in the parks.
The Cowfish Sushi Burger Bar
Can’t decide between burgers or sushi?
At Cowfish, you don’t have to. This family favorite offers both, along with its unique “Burgushi” creations that combine the best of both worlds.
Vivo Italian Kitchen
Fresh pasta, wood-fired pizzas, and classic Italian favorites make Vivo one of CityWalk’s most popular restaurants.
Antojitos Authentic Mexican Food
Looking for a lively atmosphere?
Antojitos combines flavorful Mexican cuisine with live entertainment, creating a fun dining experience for the entire family.

One of my favorite ways to end an evening is grabbing dessert and finding a seat along the waterfront. Watching the lights reflect across the lagoon while listening to the energy of CityWalk is one of those simple moments that reminds me why I love Universal Orlando Resort.
