Ok, Ok, I’ll stop with the puns (I’ve got jokes for days.) but in all seriousness, the Hollywood Drive-In has become somewhat of a tradition, whenever we are at Universal!
As you all know, Universal Orlando is known for its immersive theme parks and beyond amazing entertainment experiences, but tucked away in the shadows of the iconic Universal CityWalk lies a hidden gem that takes visitors on a journey back in time. Hollywood Drive-In Mini Golf, an homage to the classic drive-in theaters of yesteryear, offers a unique and nostalgic twist to the traditional mini-golf experience.
Sit back and relax as we explore the charm, design, and overall experience of the Hollywood Drive-In.
As you exit security and cross over the CityWalk entry bridge, you will see the Hollywood Drive-In appear on either side of you. Its kitschy charm will catch your interest almost immediately. The closer you get the more you are transported to a bygone era of 1950s Hollywood where vintage horror flicks and science fiction films ruled the day. Vibrant colors, retro signage, and iconic car motifs continue to set the stage for an afternoon of nostalgic fun.
Hollywood Drive-In offers 2 two 18-hole courses, “The Haunting of Ghostly Greens” and “Invaders from Planet Putt,” each have distinct themes, adding an extra layer of excitement for visitors. Guests are able to purchase either a single-feature (18-holes) or double-feature (36-holes.)

Course 1: The Haunting of Ghostly Greens
Step onto the “The Haunting of Ghostly Greens” course, and you’ll find yourself immersed in a spooky yet whimsical world. The course is adorned with ghostly apparitions, eerie tombstones, and haunted mansion facades, creating an atmosphere that is both terrifying and delightful. The attention to detail is remarkable, with each hole telling a story of its own, keeping players engaged from start to finish.
Course 2: Invaders from Planet Putt
On the flip side, “Invaders from Planet Putt” takes a sci-fi approach, with its otherworldly landscapes, flying saucers, and extraterrestrial beings. The fluorescent colors and retro-futuristic design elements make this course visually appealing and provide a stark contrast to the ghostly ambience of the first course. Players can expect surprises around every corner as they navigate through the imaginative holes.

Snack Bar and Gear Shack
If hunger strikes or you happen to lose your golf ball, head to the snack shack and replenish. The snack shack offers a variety of classic movie snacks and refreshments (popcorn, soda, candy,) along with Hollywood Drive-In merchandise, ie: golf balls, ball markers, as well as replacement clubs and balls.
