The Top 5 Reasons to Stay at Disney’s New Pixar Place Hotel

Disneyland is the happiest place on Earth and guests are about to feel a whole lot happier!  Paradise Pier Hotel has been slowly transforming over several months.  Finally, we now know that on January 30, 2024, this Disney owned resort will officially debut her full make-over as Disney’s Pixar Place Resort.  Here are the top 5 reasons why you want to be one of the first to stay at this one-of-a-kind hotel!

There’s Nowhere Like This Place

This hotel is officially the only Pixar themed resort in the world.  You can stay and play among beloved characters like the Incredibles, Toy Story, Inside Out, and more.  Moreover, never before seen concept art has become part of feature walls, fixtures, and accents around the hotel.  Pixar studio artists were brought into the space to create some unique designs for the resort.

You’ll be greeted by the Pixar lamp on top of its ball as you enter the hotel.  Guests can workout with Mike and Sully in the fitness center, and “just keep swimming” with the characters from Finding Nemo at the rooftop pool area.

Location is a Top Priority

This hotel is one of three Disney owned properties and offers direct access to Disney’s California Adventure Theme Park from a dedicated entrance.  Moreover, much like Disneyland Hotel, this resort is a quick walk to Disneyland Park through the Downtown Disney Shopping area

The Disneyland Resort is a walkable destination and by staying near the theme parks, no outside transportation is necessary.  In addition to proximity to the theme parks, Disney owned hotels are also close to other shopping and dining outside of the Disneyland property.

The Rooms are Brilliant

The Pixar theming doesn’t end at the lobby elevators.  The rooms have been renovated to include the concise color palate that according to Disney is “sharing the importance of color to the tone of a scene.”   The rooms and suites are alive with accents from popular Pixar films.

Meanwhile, guests of the hotel have been able to enjoy the space throughout the transformation.  The guest rooms will continue to offer standard 2 queen bed accommodations on up to 1-2 and 3-bedroom suites.  In addition, this resort also offers guest Club Level accommodation with concierge service and complimentary food and beverages throughout the day.

The Food is Elevated AND Comforting

The table service restaurant, Great Maple, opens in November off the lobby before the official name changes.  This restaurant, said to have an “elevated menu of comfort food”, includes Buttermilk Fried Chicken, Maple Bacon Donuts, ribs, and salmon dishes to name just a bit.

The Sketchpad Café opens as a grab and go service after the opening of the full-service restaurant and the pool bar, Small Bytes, offers guests sandwiches, wraps, salads, and cocktails.

The Price is Right

Of the three Disney owned resorts at Disneyland, this hotel has the lowest of the prices.  Not necessarily classified as a Value Resort by Disney World’s Standard on the East Coast, but lower in cost at roughly $560/night for a standard room that sleeps up to 5 guests.

The price will vary depending on the type of room and time of year you choose.  Despite the name change, this resort continues to be the least expensive Disney choice.

Paradise Pier Hotel at Disneyland Resort will officially become Pixar Place as of January 30, 2024.  The transformation makes this the first ever Pixar themed hotel.  With never-before-seen concept art and one-of-a-kind accommodations, this hotel is a must do for Pixar and Disney enthusiasts.
