We took a special trip there with just our 4 year old for a little one on one time! He was in heaven, and honestly? We were pretty impressed too.

You can hear it before you see it—the roars, the rumbling, and the bubbling sounds of volcanoes and waterfalls. T-Rex Cafe is hard to miss, with its massive dinosaur skeletons, fiery façade, and a gift shop that’s part museum, part build-a-dino workshop.
The moment we walked in, our 4-year-old’s jaw dropped. Giant moving dinos greeted us from every corner: a life-size T-Rex towering above the dining room, a stegosaurus swaying its tail, and a woolly mammoth family tucked into an Ice Age cave. The whole place is divided into themed “prehistoric zones,” and it feels like you’re dining in a Disney-style natural history museum.

Our little one went for the Prehistoric Chicken Tidbits (aka dino chicken nuggets), served with fries. Meanwhile, the adults enjoyed a Megasaurus Burger and the Crustacean Trio (Coconut shrimp was delicious)—hearty, familiar, and just what we needed after a day of exploring.
Right after ordering our meals, our little explorer spotted something super fun—bright, colorful slushies served in dinosaur-themed souvenir cups. Naturally, we had to try one.
There are a few flavor options (think classic blue raspberry and cherry), but the real fun is in the presentation. The slushies come in collectible cups that you get to take home!

The Highlight: Building a Dinosaur!
After dinner, we made our way into the Dino Store—not just to browse but to do something extra special: build a dinosaur friend to take home.
Yes, just like a certain teddy bear store, T-Rex Cafe has its own version called Build-A-Dino by Build-A-Bear Workshop. Our 4-year-old got to choose a dino (a purple T-Rex!), stuff it and even dress it up. It was honestly just as exciting as dinner for him—maybe more.
Watching him cuddle his new dino buddy all the way back to our resort was the perfect ending to a truly magical night.
